Housing

During the residential month of the program, you will be staying in the Conwell Inn, at the heart of the Temple University Campus (www.conwellinn.com). Two students will share a double room with private bath. The hotel features free Internet access, a continental breakfast, and afternoon snacks.

Meals

Some group meals will be provided as part of the program; otherwise you will receive a per diem allowance that can be used to purchase meals and snacks at the campus dining hall, a nearby grocery store, and several other restaurants and food concessions. The Temple dining hall has a wide variety of food items from which to choose, and your welcome packet will include the times that breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available.

Expenses

The Study of the U.S. Institute will pay for your housing and meals in Philadelphia as well as in New York City, Florida, and Washington D.C. You will also receive an allowance for books, supplies, and cultural events. You will receive a prepaid cell phone for use during your stay, but you will need to pay for your long distance phone expenses, or other personal amenities throughout your time in the USA. Under no circumstances will we be able to issue additional money, so please plan your expenses wisely.
